Harry Underwood, 58, died on Tuesday morning following an accident involving a fork lift truck and a lorry at the Redditch head office of the bicycle-and-autos accessory retail chain.

Worker dies at Halfords’ HQ

The Redditch Standard said Underwood became trapped under the fork lift truck after it was in collision with the lorry.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Steve Webster, Redditch Borough Council’s environmental health and licensing manager, told the newspaper:

"All the information and evidence will be considered to determine whether any breaches of the Health and Safety at Work Act have been committed."

Halfords declined to comment further on the incident.
