Wisper brings e-bikes to the Mall

E-bike manufacturer Wisper and Bike Republic are set to appear on London’s iconic Mall for an Eco-Car Spectacular.

The event is part of the Prince of Wales’ ‘A Garden Party to Make A Difference’ on Sunday September 12th, part of the ‘Start initiative’ – aiming to make green issues and sustainability fun and inspirational.

Wisper’s e-bikes will be on show at the event, taking part in parades in the afternoon (at 2pm and 3.30pm) of environmentally cars and e-bikes.

Bike Republic’s Terry Martin said: “This is a really exciting event and one we are delighted to support in partnership with Wisper. Our aim has always been to create sustainable transport that is accessible for everyone, and this event really champions that idea. The Wisper doesn’t take away the exercise potential and actually encourages more people to cycle; enhancing the cycling experience by providing a boost to performance when needed. It’s a great way to travel, whether commuting daily or accessing the city centre at the weekend, without working too hard when you don’t want to.”

David Miall, chairman of the British Electric Bike Association said: “The Eco-Car Spectacular is a great opportunity to witness the Best of British, from e-bikes to electric powered vehicles, it should be quite a display. London expects a 400 per cent increase in cycling by 2026 and with over 100km of attractive ‘Greenways’ routes in London. The future introduction of Cycling Super Highways as part of the London Cycling Revolution project provides increased cycling opportunities and the growing trend for electric pedal power has definitely taken hold.”
