Fantic Motor Ltd, was founded in 1968 in Barzago, Italy and fast became a market leader in motorcycle trails, winning three world titles in 1985, 1986, 1988 and more recently the European Enduro Championship in 2012. In 2015 Fantic entered the e-bike market with a new product line of electric bicycles for both the off-road and urban categories.
Windwave’s managing director Peter Nisbet said: “We are very pleased to extend our Italian connections and work with Fantic, an established manufacturing company. Interest is huge in e-bikes at present with sales growing at a fast pace and sharp growth predicted over the next two years. With better motors, lighter batteries neatly integrated into frames now is defiantly the time for Solent (UK) Ltd to enter the market.”
Fantic bike’s export manager Claudio Santi added: “In Solent, we have found an ideal partner long established in the UK market with an extensive dealer base and a proven track record distributing and supporting technical product.”
Windwave is a co-founder of the Core Bike Show and will add DVO Suspension to their existing portfolio of A2Z, BBB, Colnago, Dainese, FSA, Hutchinson, Ice Toolz, Morgan Blue, Nokon, Transition Bikes and Vision.
