"Work in progress" to be seen at Mountain Mayhem this weekend

Whyte reveals prototype hardtail 29er

Whyte has this morning revealed a spy shot of a hardtail 29er, which the brand’s riders have reportedly been testing at the trails around its Cheltenham research and development offices.

Keith Jepson of Max Bikes PR, which represents ATB Sales, Whyte’s distributor, told BikeBiz: "The bike is a work in progress, where we have been fine tuning our geometry. As with all our bikes the geometry is key to our design concept."

For those attending this weekend’s Mountain Mayhem, look out for Jepson aboard the prototype rig and "feel free to push him off for a ride." (his words, not ours!)

Expect to see a more complete looking bike ready for ATB’s road show scheduled for mid-July.
