Vittoria launches Agarro MTB trail tyre

Vittoria has launched the Agarro MTB trail tyre.

“The most epic trail adventures extend beyond the Strava segment, and out into remote terrain where turns are earned,” said a statement. “The Agarro trail tyre is designed to take you there and back, with a tread profile that gives considerably more grip than an XC tyre, but with less bulk than an Enduro tread.

“By borrowing the best traits from the popular Martello, Barzo, and Gato models, the Agarro utilises proven technologies from both the Enduro and XC categories. This combination of performance is ideal for the Trail category, as it provides predictable grip and efficiency in a mix of conditions.

“Starting with the same progressive sipe-width technology found in the Martello Enduro tyre, the Agarro features a classic paddle array. This provides directional flex at the effective edge, translating into full confidence across roots and rocks, in cornering, climbing, and braking.

“Similarly, the Barzo-inspired directional edge placement gives riders a familiar profile, that is world championship proven. Once rolling, the Gato-derived stepped leading edge works as a ramp to minimize resistance, yet provides a firm bite under climbing loads.

“This e-bike compatible tread profile is then wrapped on Vittoria’s tubeless-ready Trail casing, complete with APF inserts and sidewall protection, for added stability and protection.

“Four separate Graphene 2.0 compounds further enhance the Agarro performance, which are applied in the exclusive 4C layering process. This compound technology allows the Agarro to deliver confidence-inspiring cornering traction and climbing grip while returning longevity, durability, and low rolling-resistance.”

At launch, the Agarro will be available in four variations:
– 27.5 x 2.35
– 29 x 2.35
– 27.5 x 2.6
– 29 x 2.6

UK SRP: £59.99.
