Victory Chimp skips Black Friday for Give Back Friday

From Friday 24 – Monday 27 November, 100 per cent of proceeds from all online Victory Chimp print sales will go to charity.

Last year cycling apparel brand Victory Chimp decided to skip Black Friday and give something back instead. The #VCGiveBackFriday campaign raised funds for charity through sales of a new art print, available only over the Black Friday sales weekend, and happily selling out before it ended. As a result, ten bikes were sent to Malawi via World Bicycle Relief.

This year Victory Chimp is increasing its chartiable donations to 100 per cent of the proceeds raised by selling online prints.

The chosen charity for #VCGiveBackFriday 2017 is Marie Curie. Marie Curie Nurses care and support people living with terminal illness and their families, bringing light in the darkest hours.

“In August of this year, I lost someone very special to me. My Granny, Letty O’Reilly, was massively supportive of my creative work from a young age, with endless love and generosity for our family,” said Victory chimp’s Ryan O’Reilly. “When it came time to begin preparations for our annual fundraising effort, I knew I wanted to do something in her memory. Marie Curie Nurses provided invaluable support to my family in my Grandmother’s final weeks, so #VCGiveBackFriday was the perfect opportunity to return this kindness by helping other families when they need it most.

“After the overwhelming support in selling out our first fundraising print edition, I wanted to see how much we could help. So if you’re planning to purchase a Victory Chimp print as a gift this Christmas, help us give back by doing it this weekend.”
