Venn Cycling has opened its full carbon rim range to independent wheel builders through a trade portal. Builders can order road, gravel and mountain bike rims in any mix of models from 10 rims, with trade prices in US dollars, euros or pounds.
The rims come without decals, or with any decals the builder holds the rights to: the builder’s own brand, a brand the builder builds for, or a team. Shipments to the United States, the United Kingdom and the 27 EU countries travel duty paid: duties and taxes are included in the shipping quote, so there is nothing to pay on arrival.
Venn pioneered the filament-wound carbon rim, which won a Eurobike Award in 2015, and held granted patents for the method. The company has been in business since 2008 and has won industry awards since 2010. Every Venn rim is made to the ETRTO standard, and every rim model must pass Venn’s impact test: 100 J for road, gravel and cross-country, 130 J for all-mountain and 150 J for downhill. The UCI wheel test sets 40 J.

The portal lists 41 rim models: road rims from 36 to 106 mm deep for disc and rim brakes, gravel rims such as the 440 TCD UL (44 mm deep, 32 mm internal, 350 g), and cross-country, trail and downhill rims in 27.5, 29 and 32 inches. Rims are made to order and ship about 35 days after payment.
“Independent wheel builders are the people riders trust with their wheels,” said Victor Major, the applied scientist who founded Venn. “We want them to build on rims with a tested record behind them, in the quantities they actually sell, and with their own decals, or none.”
For the season ahead, Venn notes that Lunar New Year falls on 6 February 2027 and production stops for about two weeks around it. Rims ordered and paid by Tuesday 15 December arrive at the end of January.
A builder opens a trade account by sending the company name to service@velocite-bikes.com; the account is opened the same day, and the portal at b2b.velocite-bikes.com then shows every rim with its trade price and full specification. Builders pay by bank transfer in US dollars, euros or pounds at no charge, or by card or PayPal with a 6% processing fee.
