Vaude has released a new eco-friendly ‘rain suit’.
The lightweight 2.5 layer jumpsuit was designed for warm seasonal conditions and comes in a short-sleeve version with articulated legs that extend just over the knee. The Rain Suit has ventilation under the arms, reflective elements for visibility and an adjustable elastic waistband. It also features water resistant zips, a chest pocket and a Velcro adjustment at the bottom hem. The suit retails at £195.00.
It has a PFC-free Ceplex Green membrane, which is fully waterproof, breathable and windproof. Vaude uses up to 25 per cent of recycled or biobased materials for its membrane production and the environmentally friendly, water repellent Eco Finish treatment on the outside is 100 per cent free of all harmful fluorocarbons.
The suit also contains S.Café recycled coffee grounds that are transformed by a patented process into special fibres. It’s fast drying, eco-friendly, controls odours and offers UV protection.
