Sunday circuit date added for a route around the Surrey Downs and Kent

Trail Break add new route to planner

Trail Break events has added a brand new circuit to its calendar of Sunday sportives.

Launched in 2007, they were the first and now most successful regular cyclosportive series on the calendar. And now organisers have set out a route, alongside Redhill County Council, to conquer the Surrey Downs and Kent from Reigate.

The course is a nicely paced and balanced route from the North Downs out towards the Kent Weald around Sevenoaks and Hever Castle. The ride eases you into your day with it’s early miles providing a perfect leg stretcher, before delivering you into a deceptively hilly mid section that sets the biggest of the day’s challenges. From there, it’s a long and fast run to the finish back through the heart of some truly stunning countryside.

Riders have three distances to choose from, comprehensive route marking to keep you on course, route map as a back up and even Memory Map and GPS files for belt and braces navigation. There will be free SIS energy drink to power participants, a free food allocation and drink top up at two manned support stations on route and hot food and drink on sale at the finish.

Event entry is available in advance through the website or at event registration on the day. Full details and online booking for all Trail Breaks events can be found at www.southernsportive.com, or for more information, call 0118 976 2491.
