The new Torq gels launched at Cycle 2007 and IBDs raved about flavours

Torq of the town

In line with the formulation used in Torq’s energy drinks, the company has blended maltodextrin with fructose in a 2:1 ratio. Most other formulations tend to be maltodextrin only, or maltodextrin/glucose blends.

The flavours include yoghurt, despite no dairy products. There’s strawberry yoghurt and black cherry yoghurt.

There’s also an orange/banana blend, and a forest fruits flavour boosted with a very high dose (89g) of naturally-caffeinated guarana.

All the gels are £1.25 each, except for the guarana version which costs an extra 25p.

Torq is available from Paligap.
