Senior mechanic and technical manager – On Your Bike

As a senior mechanic and technical manager, you will be responsible for the total running of the workshop and all the bike shop and customer technical requirements. You will be responsible for the turnover and quality standards of the workshop as well as the recruitment and training of trainee/junior mechanics. You will work with the shop floor manager to ensure the complete running of the business and to assist the owners with the high standards that its customers have come to expect. You will be an experienced and accomplished bicycle mechanic with at least a level 2 Cytech or equivalent qualification/practical experience.

Workshop mechanic – Velosport

Velosport is a well established independent bike shop in Putney, London. It is growing rapidly and needs a further workshop mechanic to join its busy store. The position is a permanent full-time role and will require weekend work. Velosport is looking for an experienced bike mechanic, ideally with Cytech level 2 qualification, who can share the day to day running of the workshop with its existing mechanic. You will need to have great customer service skills as well as the required technical ability to perform well in this role.

Shop floor sales staff – Banjo Cycles

Banjo Cycles is currently seeking a full-time member of the shop floor sales staff at Banjo Cycles in Newbury. The successful candidate will have industry experience, a passion for cycling and be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all kinds of bikes. If this sounds like you and you feel you have what it takes to be passionate and informative about high-end cycling equipment with a focus on delivering a great customer service experience, then it would love to hear from you.

Digital marketing coordinator – Madison

You will be an integral member of the brand and marketing team, responsible for much of Madison’s consumer-facing communications, on the front line for its brands. You will be expected to consistently deliver high-quality content to its thousands of fans and assist with digital strategies across many of its brands, including social media, email, website stories and content creation. A working knowledge of social media and online marketing is essential. An enthusiasm for bikes is ideal but a passion for sports and the great outdoors is also extremely important.

Area sales managers – Merida

You’ll be independent and results-oriented with a strong account management track record. You must be focused on securing, maintaining, retaining and growing a profitable account base. Merida is looking for a strategic thinker with the skills and ability to agree and execute plans with customers based on their business needs. You’ll have an in-depth knowledge of the bike industry, preferably with knowledge of the independent retailers within the area. Ideally, you’ll have an interest in cycling across all disciplines. The successful candidate will be expected to live within the geographical area covered. Flexibility is required as the role will require further travel as and when required. You’ll hold a clean UK driving licence.
