Top five jobs of the week – 21st September

Account manager – 2pure

The candidate will be fully responsible for cycle sales activity and will be required to stay away from home at least two nights a month. Key responsibilities include hitting monthly brand sales and margin targets, pre-selling brands within specific time periods to hit order deadlines, working with the internal sales team to maximise dealer support, attending trade shows in the UK, managing dealer credit requirements and developing new business in with existing and new customers.

Account manager – Paligap 

The company is looking for a motivated, conscientious individual that can work closely with the internal sales team and sales director, whilst managing the Northern and Scottish territory. The day to day role will involve visiting Paligap’s existing dealer network and developing new relationships with bicycle retailers within this territory. Paligap also requires a person with good product knowledge and ideally a background and a love for all things cycling, and are also able to carry out training on products within the company’s portfolio.

Marketing and events manager – Extra UK

Reporting to the head of marketing, the successful applicant will be responsible for the marketing activity of some of the highest profile and most respected brands in the cycling industry. The ideal candidate for this role should be an experienced marketing professional with a minimum of three to five years experience of the full communications mix, be organised and proactive to implement day to day tasks and have the ability to improve and develop existing processes. The ability to work as part of a small but focussed team is a must as is the ability to be self-reliant and to work on numerous projects at once.

Workshop manager – The Cycle Hub

An ideal candidate will have a passion for the brands Specialized and Pinarello along with a strong cycling background. The new team member must be a forward thinking, self-motivated individual who thrives on results and works well in a team. With the demanding client base, delivering an outstanding level of service must be second nature, so knowledge and awareness of all cycling brands is desired. The Cycle Hub requires an individual that shows proactive promotional and sales methods, excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to excel in new and unfamiliar situations.

Sales staff (full and part time) – Johns Bikes

Johns Bikes is looking for sales advisors to work in their store in Bath. You will talk to customers about their products, take orders, assist in merchandising and display, work on the till, book in repairs and do general housekeeping. You’ll need to be confident, friendly and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude with a drive for retail sales. An interest in cycling/bikes would be useful.
