Bike mechanic – Recyke y’bike
Main tasks: refurbish donated second-hand bicycles to a high standard, troubleshoot, install and repair workshop facilities as necessary, complete bike logs and checklists, provide advice and support to volunteers, customers and others to help develop their skills and knowledge of bicycles, take responsibility for complying and continuously keeping abreast of requirements in relation to relevant health and safety legislation and guidelines, take part in appropriate training for personal development and to meet the needs of the organisation, and other responsibilities (such as ordering spare parts) which are appropriate to the grade of the post.
Senior mechanic and technical manager – On Your Bike
As a senior mechanic and technical manager, you will be responsible for the total running of the workshop and all the bike shop and customer technical requirements. You will be responsible for the turnover and quality standards of the workshop as well as the recruitment and training of trainee/junior mechanics. You will work with the shop floor manager to ensure the complete running of the business and to assist the owners with the high standards that its customers have come to expect. You will be an experienced and accomplished bicycle mechanic with at least a level 2 Cytech or equivalent qualification/practical experience.
Strategic brand manager – Ison Distribution
You will be expected to achieve agreed sales targets and/or objectives as may be agreed for assigned brands, as well as support general sales and marketing activity throughout the UK on all products on behalf of ID. Ideally, you will have very significant bicycle industry knowledge as well as being PC literate, commercially astute and technically minded. Primarily office based at its Ely HQ, a degree of UK based travelling to key customers is expected, along with occasional interaction with international vendors and customers where appropriate.
Full-time bike fitter/sales – Certini Bicycle Co/Specialized Concept Store
The available position is for a permanent, full time (40h/w) bike fitter and sales role. This role requires you to have had previous experience within a bike fitting environment, preferably with Retul. You will also have to be both bike fit and product knowledgeable, friendly and flexible so that you are at comfort to assist with the sales team when required to help customers with their purchases of both bikes and accessories. Most importantly, you need to be someone who is always willing to go the extra step to offer their very best.
Brand manager – P&A – Raleigh UK
You will be based in the area and possess the following key skills and characteristics: a strong brand management track record (either within the bicycle sector or outside), a detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the bicycle industry/market forces, great attention to detail with a passion for delivering exceptional results, an ability to think strategically with the skills to agree and execute sales and marketing plans for your managed brands, a talent for effective communication with well-developed presentation, negotiation and supplier relationship skill, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. A keen interest in cycling is preferred.
