Deputy branch manager – Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative
An exciting opportunity has come up in its Leeds branch for the role of a deputy branch manager and it is inviting candidates to apply. Based at its store in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, you’ll report directly to the Leeds branch manager and will work closely with him in all aspects of the running of the branch. Its goal is to be the most trusted bicycle retailer in the UK, not to be the biggest. As an employee-owned business service, quality and the customer are at the heart of what it does. The Leeds store has a proven reputation for exceptional service quality and advice.
UK sales agents – Walkers Cycle Components
Walkers Cycle Components distributes to major parts of the UK and intend to expand its customer base further. With this aim, it is looking for independent sales agents across the UK to broaden its coverage. You would be selling its exclusive, prestigious brand of SERFAS cycle parts and accessories to the independent cycle retail trade, with the potential and opportunity to add other cycle products to grow your portfolio. This position will be commission based and would sit alongside an agent’s work with other brands, as long as there was no conflict of interest.
Manager – Bridge Bike Hire
Bridge Bike Hire runs 400 plus bikes on the high profile Camel Trail – North Cornwall. It is a family-owned all-year-round operation that takes as much money in the wintertime as it does during the season. The applicant needs to have level 2 Cytech or equivalent, be a good organiser and able to work weekends, holidays and under real pressure most of the time.
Cycle Mechanic – Apex Cycles
Cycle Mechanic wanted for a full-time position at Apex Cycles in Clapham. It is an independent bike shop operating in Clapham since 1992, and it is looking for an experienced mechanic to start soon who will be able to keep up with a busy workshop environment. It can offer a competitive salary dependent on experience, and a really lovely chilled out place to work with a great team.
Senior mechanic – Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative
Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative is looking for an enthusiastic and bike-passionate person to work with its small team of mechanics in Aberdeen. Leadership experience preferred but this could be an opportunity for an experienced mechanic looking for progression. You must have bicycle mechanic experience (ideally everything from road to electric to BMX) and you should be used to working to tight deadlines in a bike shop. A Cytech (or equivalent) qualification would help but is not essential. Most importantly, you’ll be confident of your ability to show first-class mechanical skill and accuracy in a busy work environment. It offers competitive rates of pay as well as a generous holiday allowance, and an excellent staff discount scheme.
