Tiso Group buys Alpine Bikes

The Tiso Group is parent company to Graham Tiso Ltd (Tiso the Outdoor Specialist), founded in 1962 and with an annual turnover of £25.5m and 316 full- and part-time staff.

Alpine Bikes Ltd., founded in 1989, has a turnover of £3.5m and 50 full- and part time staff.

Chris Tiso, CEO of the Tiso group and son of the founders, Graham and Maude Tiso, said:

"The cycle industry is a key growth market sector. We are very excited at the prospect of taking Alpine Bikes forward within the context of our Outdoor Experiences. The primary focus, however, will be to ensure that the integrity of the business is maintained and the offering continues to be in line with expectations of the existing core customer base.

"We will be relying heavily on the very experienced Alpine Bikes team to work with us to take it forward, with the support of the senior management team at Tiso."
