The Trail Pot – National Mountain Biking Development Fund has further strengthened its board with the addition of a new, extensively experienced Trustee, Antony de Heveningham. Antony brings two decades of hands-on community engagement and deep knowledge of trail access issues to the charity.

Antony cofounded a community trail maintenance group in Bristol in the mid 2000s and has gone on to be active in mountain bike advocacy at a national level. A regular contributor to Singletrack magazine, he has written extensively on trail development and access issues.

In his new role as Trustee, Antony will help guide The Trail Pot’s strategic vision, supporting initiatives that fund local trail projects, improve outdoor access, and strengthen ties within the UK mountain biking community.

“Antony’s unique perspective on trail advocacy, combined with his deep passion for the riding community, makes him an invaluable addition to our team,” said Chris Maloney, Founder of the charity. “His voice has long championed the nuances of trail stewardship, and we are thrilled to have his expertise as we expand our support for grassroots trail initiatives and continue to build this amazing future for UK mountain biking.”

Antony says, “As someone who’s spent many years as a volunteer maintaining and developing local mountain biking facilities, it’s very exciting to be involved with a charity that will support this. I’ve seen first hand how backing from national organisations for local groups can help deliver new and improved trails and better network management, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the Trail Pot pans out.”
