At MASON Cycles, it takes a special group of people to create progressive bicycles for remarkable adventures. We’re looking for a new member of the team, to play a vital role in building and dispatching our bicycles around the world. We’re looking for a mechanic – in a position that will also bring together several other important roles and duties.
We’re a truly independent British bicycle brand, designing and engineering award-winning, metal bikes for real-world riding. Manufactured in Italy and Scotland, our handbuilt framesets arrive in Sussex to be meticulously checked and prepared. Some framesets are delivered directly to customers, while others are built to riders’ custom specification before being carefully boxed and dispatched.
We need a skilled mechanic who demonstrates true attention to detail and processes. Each MASON model is designed with craft and precision foremost in mind, and every bicycle is built to a custom specification. Our new mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring these very high standards are maintained throughout every stage of our process.
Your role is vital in ensuring that we provide a 100% perfect product to every MASON customer. We are based in a working farm within the South Downs National Park, near Lancing in West Sussex.
Due to expansion in our workshop, we are looking for the right mechanic or senior workshop mechanic to join the team. This is an important role within the business and we are prepared to offer a very strong package for someone who is genuinely good at what they do and who fits well with our team.
There is real opportunity here to help influence and direct the growth of the workshop and wider business. For an exceptional full-time candidate, there may also be the opportunity to join the small team of people who own the business, reflecting our belief that the business should be part-owned by its staff. We already operate profit-share bonuses and are continuing to build on performance-related reward programmes. When the business does well, it creates the opportunity for us to pay above average and provide a range of perks that all staff enjoy. Pay will depend on experience, but we are confident that we can offer the right package for the right person.
