The role is for a store manager, a great opportunity to develop retail leadership skills and experience. Haldon Forest Park is just off the A38, 15 minutes from Exeter and Newton Abbot, and 45 minutes from Plymouth, offering a huge visitor catchment. Haldon’s prime position attracts around 500,000 resident and tourist visitors each year.
Cycle hire is an integral part of a fantastic forest experience for riders of all abilities. Visitors to Haldon Forest Park range from tag-along tots and novices, to experienced competitors and later-life returners. Cyclists travel to Haldon Forest Park to enjoy 22km of progressive cycling trails from green to black, a skills area, and a pump track. Visitors can also take advantage of the on-site cafe, walking and running trails, orienteering course, and Go Ape.
Haldon Forest Park Cycle Hire will operate daily (except for Christmas Day) with minimum opening hours of 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. There is an option to operate a small workshop and/or retail space, while additional services, such as guided rides or coaching, can be offered by separate arrangement.
We anticipate the lease period being a total of 7 years (5+1+1). The total value of the lease opportunity over the term is expected to be in the region of £700,000.
