We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join our Customer Services Team at our shop/warehouse in Harrogate. You will be working in a busy, professional workshop, handling mid to high-end bikes, and keeping up to date with the latest technologies, including electronic shifting systems, E-bike diagnostics, Invisiframe installation and suspension and fork servicing
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and highly motivated individual with a strong background in bike mechanics. You must have at least 3 years’ experience working in a busy workshop with mid to high-end bikes (essential). Knowledge of new cycling technologies and servicing techniques. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner. A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Punctuality and a well-presented appearance.
Key responsibilities for this role include diagnosing and repairing bikes efficiently and to a high standard. Providing on-the-spot repair quotes based on labour costs. Advising customers on repair options within their budget. Carrying out a range of servicing levels (we offer a three-tiered service structure). Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and using supplier websites effectively. Reporting workshop requirements, including tools, stock, and repair guidance, to the Line Manager. Ensuring the workshop is clean, organised, and professionally presented. Using POS systems for customer transactions. Handling boxed bikes, including unpacking, storage, and recycling packaging materials. Providing excellent customer service and resolving issues professionally and efficiently
B2B National Sales Account Manager – Factor Bikes
We’re looking for an experienced B2B National Sales Account Manager to join our team at Vires Velo, representing premium Factor Bikes across the UK market. This is an exciting opportunity to build our retail network from the ground up, working with high-end bicycle retailers nationwide.
What you’ll do for the role includes travel to bicycle retailers throughout the UK to establish new sales outlets. Develop and maintain strong relationships with store owners and buyers. Represent our premium Factor Bikes brand to the UK cycling retail sector. Work independently to identify opportunities and convert leads. Meet sales targets through effective territory management. Provide product knowledge and after-sales support to retailers.
Essential requirements for the role include a proven B2B sales experience. Bicycle industry knowledge and connections. Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK. Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision. Strong IT skills for managing accounts and reporting. Full UK driving license and excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Bicycle Mechanic/Sales Advisor
We are looking for an experienced team member for an exciting opportunity at our Giant Brand cycle store in Tugby. You’ll be part of a small but dynamic team, providing high levels of customer service on all fronts.
The role requires someone that can multi-task in a workshop environment and help customers with product in a role that will vary day-to day. The applicant should be flexible as well as a good problem solver and be able to work efficiently and independently.
Good, general communication skills are crucial as well as basic computer literacy, both will be utilised on a daily basis. The role may also involve working on site at our store in Lincoln on occasion and supporting external events.
The applicant will ideally have 3 years’ experience as a bicycle mechanic and/or hold a relevant ‘level 2’ qualification.
