Area Sales Manager – Midlands & East Anglia
Upgrade Bikes Ltd are a multi award-winning distributor of bicycles, parts and accessories. With an ever-growing portfolio of industry leading brands such as DMR, Lezyne, Stans, ABUS, and STYRKR, we are committed to providing a high level of sales and customer service in an ever more competitive industry.
We are seeking to recruit a self-motivated individual with at least two years’ sales experience in a road-based environment for the Midlands & East Anglia areas of the UK.
Working as part of the Upgrade Bikes sales team, and reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be based out on the road 5 days a week, visiting dealers daily, developing and growing the sales territory whilst also securing new business. Attendance at trade and public shows will also be required, as will some weekend work supporting dealer events throughout the year.
Reporting to the Sales Manager with market feedback and product trends, you will submit weekly journey reports to gain market intelligence that can be shared with the sales, purchasing and marketing teams.

This is an exciting role for someone at the beginning of their career in marketing or looking to get into the cycling and sports industry. It offers huge variety and gives the successful candidate an opportunity to work across social media, email marketing, PR, sponsorship, content creation, digital marketing and influencer marketing. All while working alongside some of the biggest brands in cycling.
The Marketing Co-ordinator will provide assistance to our Communications Department and be an integral member of the Social Media team. You will assist with producing content for our managed channels including copy and image/video production and manage consumer queries via social media. You will also work closely with our Media and Sponsorship teams to send product to journalists, athletes and ambassadors and provide assistance to the Content Team across various photo and video projects. You’ll work at events as and when required and some travel is involved (all expenses covered).
You will work with the Digital Team to keep our website copy updated and fresh and you will keep on top of various digital and social media trends to keep our content and channels vibrant. You will provide assistance to the Media and Communications Manager with the organisation of media samples including bikes. You’ll actively be on the lookout for new athletes, ambassadors and influencers that we could work with. You will be required to produce and send out a variety of B2B and B2C email marketing campaigns to drive sales and keep our customers informed.

Reporting to our Customer Service Manager this role provides administrative support to our Customer Experience team, ensuring key elements of our customer journey happen in timely manner. The role is also key in updating and maintaining the wide variety of customer information we require to deliver an unforgettable experience for new and existing customers across our international cycling holidays. The role will also provide a good foundation for development within Skedaddle.
Responsibilities for this role will include general office administration. Maintaining and updating customer facing information. Maintaining trip final information. Communicating with partners and suppliers. Processing customer balances. Assisting in the preparation of Final Tour information. Sending out customer feedback requests. Communicating with operational partners to request tour information. Processing bookings. Covering selected Travel Consultant duties during periods of absence. Handling incoming phone calls and live chats before referring to the appropriate Travel Consultant. Supporting with additional duties and projects as required.
