The Bike Factory to support Liverpool-Chester Bike Ride

For the 19th consecutive year, The Bike Factory is providing mechanical support for the mass participation cycle event Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool Bike Ride.

The Bike Factory is this year celebrating its 100th year as a bike shop and has been associated with Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool Bike Ride since its inaugural event in 1994. The shop will offer roadside assistance at key positions through the sportive, like the Mersey Tunnel, and the Wirral and Chester stop-off points.

Pre-event, The Bike Factory is offering all participants a 15 per cent discount on bike repairs and servicing in the lead up to the ride.

“We’ve always been very happy to support Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool as we’ve found this to be one of the best rides around the Wirral, Chester and North Wales area," commented sales director of The Bike Factory, Dave Parry.

“We’ve also noticed that in the past five years the number of people riding bikes has risen dramatically and we feel it’s important to support and represent events such as this within our local community.”

Taking place on Sunday July 8th, the ride is expected to attract 3,000 entrants, offering them the rare opportunity to ride through the Mersey Tunnell, which is usually off-limits for cyclists. Riders have a choice of five routes, ranging from 25 to 90 miles.

The Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool is organised by local company Pennine Events.
