Cycle and trade organisations join new event

TfL, British Cycling and ACT sign up to London Bike Show

The new London Bike Show, taking place in January next year, has forged new partnerships with the industry, including with Transport for London, British Cycling and ACT.

British Cycling will work to promote the show to its members, while new members booking tickets to the show will be offered half price membership when they purchase a ticket to the show. British Cycling will also have a stand at the event, with Team GB riders set to make an appearance.

TfL will promote the Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme and Cycle Superhighways at the ExCeL-set show, targeting London’s increasing population of cycle commuters to broaden awareness of the schemes.

The London Bike Show has also teamed up with ACT to bring its consumer-facing initiatives to the event. A Cytech Technical Advice Area will include Technical Demonstrations on the Bike Stage performed by ATG Training. Demos will include everything from tube fit to suspension tubing to promote Cytech qualifications and enrol the public on courses. Cytech’s popular Fastest Wrench in the West competition will also feature. Finally, the Cycling Experts Lounge will be a place for visitor to get tips on buying a bike, find their local bike shop and more.

Other show highlights include the ‘Trixster Challenge’ where attendees will get the chance to win a Trixter X-Bike worth £1,250. The Skoda Bike Arena will also include a wide range of stunts, trails and tracks for attendees. Find out more here.
