The Sturmey-Archer production line has now been installed in the SunRace factory in Taiwan. This was supervised by three ex-employees of the Nottingham hub-maker

Taiwanese Sturmey Archer hubs (and cranks!) ready by June

Hub production starts soon with the first products containered across to Europe in June.

"Due to the high demand we anticipate that it will be August before all hubs from the old Sturmey-Archer programme will be freely available," said Alan Clarke, general manager of SunRace Sturmey-Archer Europe B.V.

"The external appearance of many hubs will be modernised and some new gear controls will be introduced. Sturmey-Archer branded chainwheel and cranksets are being added to the range so that complete drivechain sets can be offered."
