The jet was flying from Taiwan to Los Angeles.

Forty nine people are reported dead.

There are believed to be 82 survivors from the crash of flight SQ006. 75 of the passengers were foreigners.

The Boeing 747 crashed during taking off from Taipei’s Chiang Kai Shek international airport at 11.18pm local time (15.18GMT).
