Tabletop Distribution to carry Colony and Pilgrim completes

Recently created BMX specialist wholesaler TableTop Distribution has today told BikeBiz it will carry complete bikes from both Colony and Pilgrim.

As of early Autumn the distributor is expecting stock of both brands and dealership opportunities are available for both brands independently.

MD Alan Woods told BikeBiz: "We will have Colony completes arriving this Autumn. The past two years they have been sourced in China, but production has gone back to Taiwan so we can do them again. The colourways of each model will change with each drop we recieve. We’ll also be doing a full range from Pilgrim Bikes as well."

Asked of his long term aspirations for the newly formed business, Woods explained that his retail firm, Alan’s BMX actually started out with a few distribution contracts during the early 80s, including one for Haro. As such he’s no stranger to the wholesale side of the business.

He told BikeBiz: "In 1981 when I was still at school I wrote to every company in BMX Action magazine, this – after a trip to California – resulted in me becoming the UK distributor for Haro, Robinson, Torker, A’ME and CYC. Hotwheels were one of our first dealers! This ran until the end of 1986.

"By having a retail perspective we know what shops need; that’s reliable service, stock backup and products that achieve their margins. We realise that their are probably too many brands in BMX as it is, but hope to offer something a little different. Our aim to build this right step-by-step without trying to grow too fast, too soon."

Account forms can be downloaded via tabletopdistribution.com.
