Bike to School Week begins today, inviting school pupils and staff in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to get on their bikes.
Bike-related events are in the offing for the week, including bike breakfasts, ‘bling your bike’ days, competitions and bike carnivals.
Cycling Scotland is also running a Cycle to School Campaign this month.
Running over the final week of The Big Pedal – a Sustrans led, Bike Hub backed competition involving thousands of school and pupils up and down the land – Bike to School Week is an opportunity for schools to encourage pedal power as the choice for travel to and from school.
Schools can read Sustrans’ Pedal Pack, Bike to School Poster and ideas for the week here.
