The UK is set to get its own dedicated SRAM technical centre, with the extension of the manufacturer’s European Dealer Service Direct (DSD) programme.
The UK centre is set to open in the summer of 2010 and provide enhanced service levels while also supporting growing sales and UK-specced kit. Fully trained personnel will staff the facility, with expert knowledge in dealer service, warranty and training across its brands.
SRAM has yet to officially confirm where the facility will be located, but revealed it will be close to a well respected riding venue, giving additional opportunities to host training and product launch events to support SRAM dealers.
Director of SRAM European sales Robert Priest said: “I am pleased to see this investment happen for the UK, having originally started my industry career in this market.
"It’s a recognition of the importance and position of the British market. We have some excellent partners and relationships in the UK and being able to fortify those further is very satisfying.”
