SRAM brands join DealerCamp

DealerCamp, a mid-summer expo and demo event aimed at top-tier IBDs, takes place July 29th–31st at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah.

Exhibiting brands include BH Bikes, BMC Racing, Crankbrothers, Freedom by WTB, Gore RideOn Cable Systems, Ibis Cycles, Marin, Pivot Cycles, QBP, Ridley, Scott USA, Shimano and WTB. SRAM will bring brands Avid, RockShox, SRAM, Truvativ and Zipp. QBP is displaying Civia, Fulcrum, Lazer Helmets, Ridley and Salsa. Advanced Sports will show off new products from Breezer, Fuji, Kestrel, Oval and SE Bikes.

“DealerCamp is a great new opportunity for the industry,” said Chris Cocalis, President/CEO, Pivot Cycles/BH USA.

“We’re looking forward to a focused audience of the country’s top retailers, a terrific setting, better timing and being able to show off our exciting new products in a more positive and cycling-friendly environment than the typical trade show.”

Patrick Fetzer of Laguna Beach Cyclery is excited about the event: “It’s the perfect break in the middle of summer to get out of the shop, have some great rides, see new product and learn which way the industry is headed.”

One hundred IBDs, selected with exhibitor input, are receiving free lodging and a travel subsidy to attend the event.

DealerCamp is run by Lifeboat Events, led by industry veteran Lance Camisasca, with his partners, Chad Battistone, Avery Stonich and Christopher Zigmont.

Camisasca stresses DealerCamp is different to Interbike’s Demo Days:

"We do not see DealerCamp as a direct competitor to Interbike whatsoever. Many mid-sized bicycle manufacturers will gear up in late July, early August, and roll out 2011 models to targeted retailers—one way or another, so they can be on the same plane as the A-tier companies, such as Trek, Specialized, Giant and a couple of others. DealerCamp is an effort to corral these companies together to find efficiencies for these manufacturers and the retailers who will be targeted to attend."

Pat Cunnane, President of Advanced Sports International, summed up his decision to attend: "We have a lot of confidence in Lifeboat’s ability to host an exciting event. We are happy to support DealerCamp because Lance and his team are always supporting our industry."

Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, has outstanding road, cross-country, downhill and urban terrain.

The resort is 45 minutes from Salt Lake City Airport. The outdoor expo will be in a large parking lot adjacent to the Snow Park Lodge, with world-class alpine road loops and lift-accessed off-road trails accessible right from the site.
