Showers Pass adds Merino to waterproof socks line

Showers Pass of Portland, Oregeon, has expanded its waterproof socks line with a Merino wool version. The company’s Crosspoint Waterproof Socks are windproof and waterproof. Features include a wear-resistant knit exterior, a seamless breathable Artex membrane, and a moisture wicking lining. It’s a Coolmax lining on the WP Crew and Hi-Viz Crew with a Merino wool lining on the WP Wool Crew.

Kyle Ranson, president of Showers Pass, said: “The result is a sock that feels like a sock, yet protects like a rain bootie. Now you don’t have to choose between breathability and keeping your feet dry.”

A company statement said: "As a result of a proprietary 3-D laminating process, the fit is ergonomic in comparison to other waterproof socks on the market. The socks are designed to be a compression fit, delivering maximum breathability during foot motion.
