Shimano sponsors global Ironman events

Shimano has announced that it is to support Ironman and 70.3 events globally in a new push to further its commitment to the triathlon market.

Ironman events are the platform for aspiring athletes to prove themselves in the sport of triathlon. In 2009, over 125,000 people participated in global Ironman and Ironman 70.3 events. In 2010, Shimano will be an official sponsor in more than 30 of those events.

Shimano sponsors over 30 top competitive triathletes on its global team, including Craig Alexander – reigning Ironman World Champion.
