See.Sense raises £525,000 crowdfunding cash

LED light maker See.Sense of Northern Ireland has surpassed its initial £500,000 funding goal on Crowdcube. The cycling technology company took to the equity crowdfunding platform just over one week ago and has since raised £525,000 from over 300 investors. The campaign will now continue for up to a week.

See.Sense CEO, Philip McAleese said

“Thanks to our investors, we’re delighted to have exceeded our £500,000 funding goal in just 10 days. We’re not quite finished yet. We’re currently in discussions with some investors who can bring skills and experience, so called ‘smart money.’ We’ll allow for a period of overfunding while we work to secure those individuals.”

See.sense previously raised £114,000 from over 1,400 backers on Kickstarter.
