Attendance up at event despite a tough US market

Sea Otter numbers up 10 per cent

According to this story from BRAIN, attendance for Sea Otter was up ten per cent compared with last year.

President and CEP of Sea Otter Classic, Frank Yohannan, said: "We definitely had bigger (expo) numbers than last year, which is very good in this economy."

Sales at the show were also reportedly strong, as have been the financials of many of the exhibitors at Sea Otter.

Giant’s marketing manager Brad Klipping said: "Our first quarter turned out really good for us. We had our best day in 18 months a couple weeks ago.

"I think consumers are sick of saving. They need to replace that bike if they’re riding a lot. It’s getting to that point where there’s pent up demand.”
