Rescheduled dates for the Scottish Cycling, Running and Outdoor Pursuits Show have now been announced.
The show, which was meant to take place from 3rd to 4th March, was set to feature a host of cycling industry brands such as Batribike, Cube, NEOS Cycling and DMR Bikes, has officially been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions in close proximity to the Glasgow SECC.
At the time, the organisers expressed their regrets at being forced to cancel, telling BikeBiz: "We’d like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding in this time, we’re working to ensure that all queries are answered within the coming days."
An announcement posted on the official event website, as well as the show’s social media accounts, read: “IMPORTANT PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT! Due to the red weather warning, the extreme conditions and for health and safety purposes, this weekend’s Scottish Cycling, Running and Outdoor Pursuits show has had to be cancelled.
Having been unable to find a suitable time to host the show this year, it has been agreed that the event will be rescheduled for the 2nd and 3rd of March 2019. Exhibitors have already been contacted and the feedback has been supportive, to the point that nearly 80 per cent of the floorspace has already been rebooked for the 2019 event.
All consumers’ tickets sold at this years event are valid for next year.
