Italian-made custom carbon specialists, Sarto, have unveiled their latest creation – the new Raso Gravel Wide, created to deliver a lightweight, fast and versatile gravel bike.

From Unbound Gravel to the Gravel Earth Series, and through the toughest ultra-distance events, the brand’s goal was clear: to create a bike that blends the speed and efficiency of a road machine with the robust versatility needed for off-road performance. As the name suggests, the ability to fit wide tyres – now an absolute must for competing at the highest levels of international gravel racing – is an essential element of the new bike.

The result, shaped through constant feedback from athletes, is a completely new project. A bike that brings the racing DNA of the Raso into the gravel world. Lightweight, aerodynamic, comfortable and purpose-built to take on the most demanding terrain.

Race-ready geometry, innovative engineering

Every detail of the frame was designed to transfer the acceleration and speed of a road bike to the trail—without sacrificing stability, control or comfort. Tyre clearance reaches up to 48mm with a 2x drivetrain or 56mm when running 1x, and still with generous spacing for mud and debris.

The compact 430mm rear triangle has been engineered for compatibility with chainrings up to 52T, thanks to a slimmed-down 8mm section that allows for clean cable routing without compromising on stiffness. Sarto also points to what it calls a “balanced geometry”, which it states “ensures lively climbing, rock-solid descending and precise handling even when fully loaded for bikepacking.” UDH compatibility allows for a future-proof drivetrain.

Raso Gravel Wide also sports a redesigned fork, paired with a reinforced rear triangle, expands versatility even further. The focus of these design points: Making the Raso Gravel Wide equally at home in elite gravel races or fast-and-light off-road adventures.

Both fork and frame include standard bikepacking mounts, so the bike is prepared for any challenge straight out of the box.

Raso Gravel Wide is paired with a Sarto Aero seatpost featuring a hidden integrated clamp. To enable the 2x or 1x option, the frame has been designed around the T47x86 (recommended) bottom bracket. Making the most of that redesigned for, Raso Gravel Wide runs a 1 ½” – 1 ½” headset.

As you’d expect, Sarto points out that “each Raso Gravel Wide is a unique creation, blending Italian artisanship with uncompromising performance.” This, naturally enough, also means fully integrated cable routing, as much for the look as for any aero performance gains.
