EUROBIKE: Madison’s brand will be at Friedrichshafen next week, with new Ariel and Myst models on display

Saracen prepares for Eurobike debut

For the first time ever, Saracen will be exhibiting at the Eurobike international bike show.

The move is the latest for the British brand that was acquired by Madison in 2008. The Ariel trail and Myst downhill bikes have been key models in the renewed success of the brand and will both appear at Friedrichshafen in new editions for 2012.

The new Ariel 140 and 160 models will be on show, the latter ideal for the emerging Enduro Downhill market, with the 2012 Ariels benefiting from some subtle refinement.

The Myst downhill bike also sees an expansion for 2012, offering both the privateer and professional racer a downhill rig that performs.

The updated Mantra series will be at Eurobike too. This range of trail-focused bikes boast impressive specs mixed with proven geometry and a pleasing price point, as promised by Madison. Saracen’s Amplitude range will also be on display offering up a range of dirt and street bikes in 20 and 26-inch varieties, whilst the Saracen Urban range rounds off the brand’s first Eurobike showing with a mountain bike feel, mixed with a city focus and a dose of fixie flair.

On the trail the Madison Saracen Downhill team has had an impressive maiden season, notching up a Youth British Championship title, a World Cup Junior title, multiple top ten World Cup finishes, a podium spot at Crankworx and a 10th overall in the Women’s field at the World Cup.

Saracen will be at Eurobike, Stand FG-B8/4 31st August – 3rd September.

Madison has asked us to point out the pic below (and leading this story) is a prototype, so specs, colours, etc are not final.
