Electronics giant Sanyo is gearing up for its appearance at Eurobike next month where, according to the firm, it will "shape Sanyo’s entrance into the European electric bicycle market’.
Sanyo plans to supply key parts for the electric bicycle market from 2010 and it’s products – including motors, controllers and batteries – will be at Eurobike, from Wednesday September 2nd to Saturday 5th.
Engineers will be on hand to answer questions and the Sanyo stand (EE-3) will have samples for visitors to test.
Sanyo’s ‘eneloop bike’ will be on hand at the stand – a model that utilises the ‘loop charge function’ which generates electricity while simultaneosly charges the battery while in use. The device also determines power and braking based on the incline of the road.
The firm will also have a ‘Park and Charge Station’ at the show. The solar and Lithium-ion battery powered station aims to cut dependence on fossil fuels.
Sanyo will also be at Interbike, later in September.
