Santini appoints Jon Sangan as UK custom clothing manager

Santini is launching a UK operation to handle custom clothing for the IBDs, clubs and corporate event companies from 1st December.

ZyroFisher, Santini’s exclusive UK distributor, will continue to fulfil the growing demand for inline and replica clothing whilst acting as a liaison to Santini with any new custom order requests placed with its field sales team.

Jon Sangan, who has been the longstanding brand manager and more recently custom sales manager at ZyroFisher for Santini, will leave the company to head up Santini Custom.

As part of the new approach, Santini will be launching an online custom ordering portal to help simplify the custom kit process which will also provide exclusive benefits for its users.

“Santini is the official supplier to the UCI for all rainbow jerseys, Trek- Segafredo, the Vuelta and Ironman,” Sangan said. “Racing is in the company’s DNA.

“In recognition of this, we will also be looking at new ways we can work with domestic teams on sponsorship programs that reinforce our position as the world’s best performance cycling clothing producer.

“Retail customers are looking for clothing and marketing solutions, whilst clubs and rider groups are expanding. All have one thing in common, they all want a high-quality innovative kit, great service, value, and a brand passionate for cycling. Santini ticks all the boxes.

“We also have ambitious marketing plans to support this new episode for Santini in the UK.”

Nikki Hawyes, brand director at ZyroFisher, said: “We (ZyroFisher) have successfully grown the Santini brand in the UK for the last 12 years and will continue to do so. This dual approach to the UK market means that the intensive development of each custom design for teams and clubs will receive direct focus from the brand.

“ZyroFisher will continue to offer the cycling market the dedicated support and supply across the entire range of Santini to meet the increasing demand for this prestigious, Italian performance clothing brand.”

Monica Santini, Santini Cycling Wear managing director, added: “Supplying teams with custom clothing in the UK is always an inspiring process, but it does occasionally create challenges. Custom clothing requires a lot of emotional investment on both sides so dedicating a local representative of our brand in the UK to help deliver to the exacting standards of Santini is the right thing to do.

“We are very proud and excited to see more people, clubs and teams wearing our clothing! Our focus will remain on the development of our brand and the performance clothing we deliver each season to market.

“ZyroFisher will continue to be our exclusive partner and we’re especially grateful to them for the success that they consistently deliver.”
