Firm brings three new bikes to Earls Court

Sabbath rides Silk Emperor to Cycle Show

Sabbath Bicycles will reveal three brand new models at the forthcoming Cycle Show at Earls Court.

The Silk Emperor leads the new models. Reported to be one of the few titanium frames that employ the BB30 bottom bracket standard, the Emperor takes advantage of a unique cold working process, allowing Sabbath’s tech director Dr Iain Roche to experiment with thinner tube walls and create larger weld sites without heat damage. As a result weight has been reduced and stiffness has been increased, with the bike also boasting Sabbath’s new finish and graphic options alongside the rest of the 2010 range. Sabbath gave BikeBiz sneak peak images of the bike here, here and here.

Also new from the firm is the sportive-specific Silk Road Alp and an overhauled Silk Road Pro, both of which use filtered versions of the same technology. The Silk Route – a new touring model – will also be showcased at the Cycle Show, the first chance for dealers and consumers to see the bikes first-hand.

2010 price points are set to be reduced by 10 per cent, with prices to be confirmed at the show. Sabbath Bicycles will be located at stand E30 at Earls Court.
