Russell Merry has returned to the position of MD of Dorel’s CSG UK. He will also work with Dorel’s senior leadership team global to "shape global IBD strategy".
Merry said: "With the continued growth of Dorel’s bicycle business, it was felt that my experience would further enhance the next chapter of the company’s process in increasingly becoming a global force."
Mark Broughton, previously finance director who assumed the role of interim managing director, has been promoted to the new role of finance and operations director, UK.
Merry left CSG at the end of June.
Merry has been working in the bicycle business since 1989. He and his brother, Neil, worked in their father’s bicycle shop in Poole, becoming partners in the business. The shop specialised in BMX and was the springboard for a BMX distribution business, Hot Wheels. The Merry brothers sold Hot Wheels to Dorel in 2009.
