Rozone’s Smart Washer promises safer and smarter parts washing

Rozone’s Smart Washer promises to revolutionise parts washing with a smarter and safer alternative to traditional solvent parts washers.

Following two years of trials, Rozone’s Smart Washer has picked up a number of big name fans in the trade. Those already using Smart Washer include Cycle Surgery, Halfords, Decathlon, Action Bikes, Specialized Concept Store, Giant, Sigma Sport, Trek, Evans, Leisure Lakes and Look Mum No Hands, as well as many more.

Available in bench top and larger versions, the Smart Washer is designed as an alternative to mineral spirit-based solvent cleaners and other “sink on a drum” type units, with environmental, safety and cost advantages, said the brand.

Smart Washer’s bio-remediating tech is proven and the product emits no VOCs, also avoiding the problem of having to dispose of hazardous fluid waste.

The pH neutral cleaning fluid is non-flammable, non-caustic and of lower risk than solvent-based materials if it comes into contact with skin. According to the manufacturer, requirements for PPE and risk assessment are lower for the Smartwasher than some other solvent based cleaners.

Rozone says that the cost of running the units have proved consistently lower than that of traditional solvent-baed cleaners. In addition, the nature of the cleaning medium means reduced expenditure on personal protective equipment, risk assessment procedures, waste transportation and disposal and many other areas.
