Rouvy has launched a comprehensive selection of new routes from La Vuelta a España, enabling anyone to ride key sections of this year’s race virtually.

A total of 25 new routes have been recorded from this year’s parcours, covering roads in both Portugal and Spain, to create a La Vuelta Virtual Spotlight which runs for six weeks from 12th August to 22nd September.

The La Vuelta Virtual Spotlight includes some of the most challenging, yet stunning, climbs of this year’s race.

These include the 22km Cabeza de Manzaneda, the Alto de la Colladiella, and arguably the toughest climb of this year’s race – Cuitu Negru, covering 19.5km and gradients of up to 24%. Plus, there’s the 9.3% average climb up to the old military base atop Picón Blanco which will be tackled on stage 20 of the race.

Once again, for 2024 there are three levels of Challenge available in this year’s Spotlight, giving riders of all levels of ability options, with virtual prizes available for all riders completing each Challenge, including the new Trek Madone 2025 for your virtual Rouvy garage.

Regular races will also be held on the virtual routes with additional rewards available for those taking on these more competitive group rides.

To further elevate your experience during La Vuelta, Rouvy has also collaborated with partner Lidl-Trek to design a range of unique training plans, including 15 individual workouts.

Stages covered within La Vuelta Virtual Spotlight include:

Rouvy product content director, Antonín Parma commented on the latest Spotlight: “Building on the success of our partnership with La Vuelta over the past few years we’ve built a really exciting and stunning collection of routes from this year’s race.

“It’s an unrivalled way of transporting yourself onto some of the best roads Spain has to offer, whilst getting a feel for what the pro’s will tackle as well. Keep going!”
