Manley and Davis take charge of new magazine - Privateer - on sale late August

Rouleur goes off-road

Seminal magazine Rouleur has announced the launch of a sister-title aimed at the MTB market.

Born from the ethos of quality editorial and great imagery that has become synonymous with Rouleur, Privateer will go on sale on the 27th of August.

The new MTB title will be edited by industry legend Tym Manley, and former bikemagic.com editor Mike Davis.

Manley says, “Privateer is for mountain bikers who already know the obvious; for riders who have paid their dues in sweat and dust and broken bone, and are irrevocably hooked."

Publisher Bruce Sandell adds: "We know that there is a market opportunity to create a similar high quality, stylish magazine to Rouleur for the Mountain Bike Market as we have for Road Cycling with Rouleur”.

An exclusive Privateer preview will appear in the August edition of BikeBiz. As with Rouleur, the new magazine will carry a limited amount of ad pages (less than 20 per cent of the total pagination).
