RockyMounts shipping locks ahead of schedule

Cycling security brand RockyMounts has started shipping its new line of products to independent bicycle dealers and distributors ahead of schedule.

“From the beginning – when we introduced this line at last year’s Interbike – response has been terrific," said RockyMounts sales director Rod Judd. "It’s very fulfilling to see these first orders leave the warehouse."

He continued, "In addition to selling the locks directly to shops and through our new sales reps on the East Coast, we’ve partnered with three distributors: Bicycle Technologies International, Hans Johnsen, and J&B Importers."

The security line – which was originally scheduled for delivery in March – includes 24 U-locks, cable locks, folding locks and padlocks. The units are judged on a one to ten security rating scale based on use scenarios such as college campuses, residential neighbourhoods and high-security urban areas.

The line is RockMounts’ first expansion beyond the rack category.
