Ritchey Asia hires Fraser Young as sales manager

Ritchey Asia has announced that it has hired Fraser Young as the new sales manager as part of the continued expansion of the Asian and Oceanic region.

In the new role, Young will manage and grow Ritchey’s aftermarket sales in Asia. He will work to grow the Ritchey distributor network and develop the brand in the region by creating new relationships with distributors and cultivating existing ones.

Other key responsibilities will include accelerating sales plans and offering service and support for existing and future distributors. Additionally, Young will be responsible for building and strengthening Ritchey’s OE business in Taiwan.

"Fraser is joining the Ritchey sales team at a very important moment in the history of the company in which our connection with the markets and our customers is being brought to a deeper level," explains Riccardo Deliziosi, global director of sales. "With the addition of a new dealer-direct business in Europe and the introduction of a line of complete steel bikes, we realised the need to expand our global sales force to help fuel and manage this growth."

As the latest addition to Ritchey’s growing global sales force, Young joins a dedicated team of company veterans that includes Njegoslav Terzic, who will now manage sales for northern and eastern Europe with a concentrated focus on the expanding German market.

"I’m excited to bring Fraser into the Ritchey Asia group to expand our presence in the Asia and Oceania market. His experience working with distributors in this region, as well as his location in Ritchey’s Taichung office, will allow Ritchey to provide real-time service and support for our existing customers and allow us to add customers in markets we have been previously underserved," explains general manager of Ritchey Asia Kevin Putzke.

A 15-year veteran of the bicycle industry and a native of Canada, Young comes to Ritchey Asia from Token Products where he served as sales manager. Previously, he was customer service manager and head of content creation for Cycling Express in Taichung City. Young is a former professional road racer, having raced with continental teams in Taiwan since 2002.

"I’m thrilled to be joining Ritchey and working with the legendary Tom Ritchey and the rest of the hugely talented team. In my role as sales manager, I look forward to supporting the distributors in the region with the goal of raising awareness about the excellent products that Ritchey makes and getting those products into the hands of riders," concluded Young.
