Ridgeback has released an entry-level mountain bike featuring Shimano components throughout, a 100mm suspension fork and Maxxis Rekon tyres.
Priced at £599.99, it offers a well-equipped starting point for riders looking to explore off-road. Forming part of the Ridgeback range, the brand says the Terrain brings together proven components with an emphasis on durability, control and value. For retailers, it ‘provides a clear option for riders buying their first mountain bike, whether for local woodland trails, weekend rides or everyday use.’

The bike is specced with a Shimano CUES drivetrain, Suntour XCM32 100mm suspension and Maxxis Rekon tyres.
Ridegack says proportional wheel sizing helps deliver an appropriate fit across the range. Extra Small and Small models use 27.5-inch wheels, while Medium, Large and Extra Large models feature 29-inch wheels, allowing retailers to match customers to a suitable frame and wheel size.
Beyond off-road use, the Terrain is also a practical option for urban riding and everyday journeys. The frame features an integrated kickstand plate, plus mudguard and rear rack mounting points, allowing customers to tailor the bike for commuting, carrying shopping or getting around town. For retailers, these fittings offer scope for accessory sales alongside the bike
With its accessible price, Shimano specification and practical approach to off-road riding, the new Ridgeback Terrain offers retailers a strong option for customers buying their first mountain bike. – Ridgeback
