Magura Bosch Parts & Services GmbH & Co. KG (MBPS) is continuing to expand its intensive specialist dealer support in Europe, with a particular focus on the United Kingdom.

To that end, Richard Lane has recently joined the field service team as Area Sales Manager for the UK North region. In the new role, Lane is responsible for the entire MBPS portfolio and, in particular, for the brand distribution of Magura products in his region.

Cycling industry experience to the fore

Lane brings with him many years of experience in the bicycle industry. Most recently, he worked as an Account Manager for several brands of the Pon Bike Group, including Focus Bikes GmbH and Kalkhoff GmbH. In this role, he was responsible for establishing and developing dealer networks in Northern England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. 

Lane also acted as the contact person for the UK market in the context of import processing, particularly in the wake of Brexit changes.

Training and education

When sharing the news of Lane’s joining MBPS, the business points out that in previous roles, Lane’s work had a particular focus on training and education – both for sales and service teams of retail partners. 

In addition to cycling industry experience, Lane also brings previous positions in the outdoor and education industries, as well as work as a teaching assistant and outdoor instructor, further strengthening his profile. This is seen as a clear advantage, given that MBPS training is regularly carried out by the field service team.

In addition, Lane brings a high degree of personal responsibility, analytical thinking, and organisational talent to the table – skills he has already demonstrated in his previous positions. A hands-on mentality, combined with his understanding of the brand, makes Lane a valuable addition to the sales team.

The sales team continues to be under the leadership of Roland Danner (Field Sales Team Leader) and Timo Kieninger (Director of Sales and Marketing).
