Richard Hemington no longer in day to day charge of Specialized UK

Richard Hemington, managing director of Specialized UK since 1989, is no longer in day to day charge of the company. Hemington is a co-director of the UK company that distributes the US brand, with Specialized founder Mike Sinyard being the other director.

Jen Capasso, Global Marketing Communications for Specialized, said: 

"Our managing director is on a personal leave of absence, and while he is on leave still remains the managing director of Specialized UK."

Hemington was formerly with Caratti, the first UK importer of Specialized.
