Giants, a Cannondale and Orange Bikes among stolen goods

Revel Outdoors suffers 12-bike break in

Bury St.Edmunds retailer Revel Outdoors has suffered a substantial break in with a number of Giant, Orange and Cannondale bikes stolen.

Dealers and cyclists are asked to be on the lookout for the following bikes:

– 2011 Giant Anthem X4
– 2011 Giant Anthem X3
– 2011 Giant Revel 3
– 2011 Giant Talon 3 Disc
– 2011 Giant Talon 2 Disc
– 2011 Giant Talon 1 Disc (women’s)
– 2010 Orange ST4 Pro
– 2010 Orange P7 S
– 2010 Giant Trance X2
– 2010 Giant Talon 2.5
– 2010 Giant Talon 3
– 2010 Cannondale Trail SL5

Jamie at Revel told the BikeBiz forum to beware of clever thieves using alarm-proofing tactics: "Our bikes were all upstairs. Looks like a group came in the day before and while some kept our staff busy downstairs, the others scoped out the upstairs, including spraying something (invisible) over the alarm sensors. They came through an upstairs window and passed all the bikes out through the window. Luckily something spooked them in the middle of the operation."

If your store is offered any of the following, or you have any information relating to the theft or sell-on of these bikes contact either police, or Jamie at Revel on 01638 664897.
