And the deadline to take part in the iF Awards looms

Registration for Taipei Cycle 2012 opens

The build up to the 25th Taipei Cycle Show has begun in earnest, with registration now open for the show’s new joint iF awards and for the event itself.

Taking place from March 7th to 10th at the TXTC Nangang Exhibition Hall, the trade can pre-register to attend Taipei Cycle at www.taipeicycle.com.tw

The well-regarded show is growing in global appeal. This year the event saw a total of 948 exhibitors attend, including 240 from overseas, up from 216 in 2010. The number of visitors has grown from outside Taipei too – up to 5,701 this year, from 5,160 in 2010.

Registration has also opened for the first Taipei Cycle D&I Awards, with a deadline of December 20th.

The Awards have been organised by the world famous International Forum Design (iF) and are being introduced to Taipei Cycle to honour innovation, quality and design. The Awards will be hosted by the External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Bicycle Exporters’ Association (TBEA).

Four categories will be available for entrants: bicycles, components, clothing and equipment for cyclists and accessories. The winning entries will receive the Taipei Cycle d&I awards 2012 logo, with the very best being awarded a Gold prize and will also be showcased at Taipei Cycle itself.

Prize entries should be directed to joan.wu@ifdesign.tw, or see the full application pack at the official awards web site, found at www.taipeicycle.com.tw
