Japanese consumer electronics giant JVC has appointed Raleigh as an official distributor for the JVC Adixxion Action Camera.
The ‘quad proof and action ready out-of-the-box’ JVC GC-XA2 Adixxion records in full HD at 1080 at 50P and has an 8MP CMOS sensor, allowing up to 16MP still pics to be taken.
Raleigh’s well established relationship with the independent bicycle trade and major bicycle retailers coupled with sales and marketing infrastructure helped lead to the deal.
JVC category sales manager Neil Stewart said: "There is a great synergy between JVC and Raleigh, both boasting a vast bank of experience in bringing innovative products to the respective market sector. Both JVC and Raleigh are both looking forward to working together in partnership on this great product.”
Raleigh parts and accessories manager Paul Cooke added: "The JVC Adixxion Action Camera is an exciting addition to our growing accessory portfolio. Our market testing has shown there is considerable demand for action cameras so we’re looking forward to launching to our expanding dealer network.”
The JVC GC-XA2 Adixxion uses JVC’s back-illuminated CMOS sensor technology, taken from the brand’s conventional camcorder range. The GC-XA2 also has a built-in LCD Colour Screen and Wi-Fi facilities built-in, (compatible with both IOS Apple and Android Devices) to allow easy control of the camera via Wi-Fi, with the camera view clearly displayed on the user’s Wi-Fi enabled device.
